Their site had it listed for 126.50 but i just called them and I told em pricewatch has it listed for 125 he said yes it is 125 + 9.50 shipping to CA. there is no tax on this item .. the vendor is in OH. is this deal ok? Has anyone shopped with this vendor before?

kinda sux how all those pricewatch vendors charge such excessive shipping charges... I know for sure it cant cost more than 3-5 bux to ship a voodoo 5 via ups ground. This card cant weigh more than half a pound

and i think i will pass on this deal after i read their resellerrating..

Sounds like a good deal..especially for CA resident's (no tax). I just pickedup a retail box V5 for $155 at a computer fair this weekend.

It would cost at least $6-7 to send a 1lb. pkg. from OH to CA. 1lb. is their minimum charge. Plus both UPS and FedEx are charging "fuel premiums" right now due to higher gas prices. And if they insured the pkg., it would be a bit more yet. So $9.50 isn't horrible. A little high, but not like some of the real dogs like CompUPlus - $25 to ship a video card!

As for the V5 5500 OEM, I am wondering if the core/memory speed is the same as that for the retail version. Anybody know?

ATi is the only one that does that "trick" currently.

Gotta say...the V5 is going to be a really good card, perhaps the best card for some games, for at least another six months to a year...pure speed just isn't all that.

You can also pick it up from Mwave for $139.99, not too bad considering they have an excellent rep.
