Voodoo3 3000 WinXP Driver - Urgent

I really cannot stand another day using Win98SE because it's crashing right and left for me and decided to upgrade to WinXP Professional. I have some legacy hardware on my system (like HP ScanJet 5100) but the one that worries me the most is my Voodoo3 3000 AGP card. I know there aren't any official WinXP driver but I did a little searching and found this site:

It has a handful 3rd party drivers and I don't know which to use. The most important aspect for me is stability, then performance. Any recommendations?

I think you'll be fine under XP - just DL the ones that have been DL'd the most.

I'm not sure of the XP front, but I have the same V3 3000 AGP card on Win2K Pro SP2 with the latest unofficial drivers and they work flawlessly. I hope its the same situation in XP. If not, you could always use Win2K. Its more stable than XP, doesn't use as much memory and isn't as godawful looking either.

I say "go for it" the worst that can happen is it just works in VGA mode and you'll have to go back to an earlier OS.

My voodoo 3500 worked just fine under XP without me finding *any* special drivers.

Thing is, windows XP does a decent job of letting you play with drivers because the roll back and driver un-install isn't all that bad... so you can figit and try whats out there... i'd stay with one of the 3 most current sets because they are usually better. If anything you can always go with the windows update driver and see if that suffices for your needs before messing with 3rd party ones... the main advantage of the 3rd party drivers however is that they try to implement the featues on your card and certain sets allow the use of 3dfx tools... good luck

You are moving up to WinXp, but want to use outdated tech like Voodoo3? Are you paying for WinXP?

Hmmm...not sure why you need special drivers, I have my voodoo 3K in my file server and its never caused a problem. XP automatically installed the driver for it.

Xp has drivers for that card right in it I installed my voodoo3 3000 with no problems and it runs just fine.
