Voodoo3 bottlenecked by PCI bus?

It's weird. In Q2, it seems I can never get over 120 fps. I do a benchmark in Q3A, I still get the same fps. Is this due to my V3 card being the PCI version? I've heard of people getting over 200 fps in Q2 on V3's with Athlons. If so, looks like I might have to go buy a GeForce 256 DDR

Like mday says, this has nothing to do with the PCI bus. The most likely problem is that you havn't disabled VSync on your Voodoo3, and this is capping the limit at your refresh rate (which'd be about 120hz?)

Not to be a dick, well maybe, does it really matter other than bragging rights if your pc does anything over 60 fps? Christ.. do you go into a movie theater and bitch up a storm because it's only running at 24? Or your TV at 30?

Not to be a dick too shudder, but my V3 runs demo001 around 60FPS, but during the game online, or with bots, my framerates can drop to the 20s and become unplayable. Its all about having a buffer, and different people are happy with different framerates.
