Voodoo5 5500 update review suggestions

I would appreciate 2D image quality, 3D image quality, 1280x1024 resolution, FSAA quality and benchmarks, and overall game combatability.

Also, this should have been posted in the Video Forum. Too many people dump Forum specific topics in here (general) as is and this should have been posted in the Video Forum to lead by example.

Could you also do a benchmark review of the card on lower end systems... like Cel433 or so? The V5 PCI is the best card available for PCI right now, and some low end system owners need a PCI card because they lack an AGP port. I think Anandtech did a review of the lowerend systems, but those are with out of date drivers.

This is incorrect. Tim Sweeney has stated again and again that there is no Unreal/UT/Unreal 2 engine. There is only THE UNREAL ENGINE.

They develop this engine and add to it. UT is the SAME. They fact that
the engine is now re-encoded to use d3d as the proprietary API does not mean it is a new engine. The technology demos show IMPROVEMENTS
and ADDITIONS. The so-called Unreal 2 engine simply doesn´t exit.

An updated V5 review would be good because the card is still a good value and quite powerful if used right. For those who want to play Deus EX in high res with everything on, there is NO subsitute. Although I don´t have any Loki OpneGL numbers from the latest patch.#
It would be great to see if the V3 can be "boosted", like the TNT when
the first Detonator series arrived.

I think the ideas posed in this thread are excellent!

I run a Radeon AIW, but a good thurough review of the V5 with the WickedGL drivers and Glide, etc. will probably make me go out and buy a V5.

On second thought scratch the review...my checkbook wont handle it very well.
