If Dell still has "free shipping" on orders over $400 (like they did on my last purchase there) then look for $20 to $30 dollars in upgrades and they will basically be free, since adding them would eliminate the shipping charge. Upgrades in processor, optical drives, hard drives, etc, are usually available in that price range.
