the most fun? ... Hg:L - despite its flaws [mostly MP]
- i have well over 100 hours into it - in the last 3 weeks - and am on my 4th Character and well on my way to completing it for the 2nd time; however [imo] the MP aspect *sucks* [in comparison] - the SP is brilliant!

the GotY for '07, imo - best game by default - was the expansion for Oblivion - S.I.

Since X-packs probably shouldn't count, STALKER is my GotY for 07 ...

OB, Overlord, BioShock, 2Worlds - despite having excellent "high-points" also had irritating flaws [i guess OB's flaw was its shortness .. Ep2 is superb; i personally don't like Portal that much]
- i only played the Crysis demo and am not picking up the Witcher till it gets some serious patching; i am waiting for GoW to hit Bargain bin [as it is 'short'] and i don't think i see UT3 on my list - yet. Is it out?

i think you at least need an "other" in your poll and some might feel slighted for leaving out TF2

not sure why SOF: Payback is on there. its definitely not going to win any awards in its current state.

yeah, missing a lot of games. Bioshock might be my favorite of the year.

Why is this poll up when there's still about 6 weeks left?
GOTY should be voted on at the end of the year. Also, UT3 isn't supposed to be out yet, so how can people know if it's any good?

Totally subjective. FPS people would vote for Crysis/UT3/CoD4. RPG people would vote for The Witcher or Mass Effect (not a PC game though). At a minimum, there should be separate categories for each 'genre'.

I don't like chaos.mindless online shooter games... so I cannot vote unreal, or orange box (even though SP on orange box was to die for)
CoD4, Crysis are a little held back in how much chaos they throw at you online.

So, I'm saying crysis in terms of its replayability. A 5 hour SP on CoD4 is kinda redundant, and since CoD4 is all scripts and no dynamics, I can't let that take GoTY. You can play Crysis and the experience is always different depending on how you decide to play. That even goes for online play as well. Giving the player a choice on how to play the game is ideal.

But 2008 games won't count for the 2007 GotY poll

I voted for Crysis. I haven't been pulled into a game like this since my first time through HL2.

And by the way the Orange Box isn't a game, it contains five games, two of which were released in 2004 and 2006 respectively.

recently finished both ep1, ep2, and Portal. Finished HL2 sometime around 2005. Needless to say.. $50 spent on the orange box for those three mini games alone was completely worth it, and now I have TF2 which is worth another $50 by itself alone
