Bold move cotton. Let's see how it works out for them
The tit for tat has begun. There was a separate thread started for this latest news. I'm going to add my post in that thread here to keep it up to date.
Dominion had previously sued Lindell, Powell and Giuliani. Now they have added Fox News.
Smartmatic has sued: Fox News, Maria Bartarimo, Lou Dobbs, Powell, Giuliani.
Are they taking legal advice from Nunes? The tit for tat has begun.

Michael Flynn's family members file $75M lawsuit against CNN over QAnon video | Salon.com
Legal counsel for the Flynn family, attorneys Steven S. Biss and Jeremy Zenilman, didn't return a Salon request for comment on Friday afternoon. Biss would seem to have a less than sterling track record when it comes to filing litigation against CNN. In February, he was handed a major loss in court after filing a $435 million lawsuit against the network on behalf of another Trump-allied client, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif.
Did Mikey really file a countersuit?
This is related news.
So a producer at OAN goes on record with NYT saying that what they reported about the election was a bunch of crap and that almost everyone who worked there knew it. Was fired yesterday for that.
Also, NYT got reports from 16 employees of OAN which were anonymous, but saying the same thing. That what they report is false and everyone knows it.
It's a wonder that OAN and Newsmax have not been sued along with FoxNews.
OAN staffer fired after he blasts network in NYT
An employee for One America News Network (OAN) was fired for speaking with The New York Times about the conservative-leaning cable outlet, the staffer acknowledged on Monday.Former producer Marty G…thehill.com
Fair enough even though it sucks. Most large employers would fire you if you gave an interview as an employee and slammed the business.
If they're still in business and able to spew their filth, it wasn't enough.

He a crusader for destroying the free press in other words. The difference is, that one has no merit. CNN can afford the legal fees.
LOL@ this:
Too bad all the stuff the media is reporting about these assholes and nut jobs happens to be true. It isn't really tit for tat either. Nunes has been suing various people for years for saying truthful mean things about, like the fact he has regular relations with his cow.
IMO any outcome of this needs to include an admission by Fox, on air, to propagating these false statements. Several times a day during their most watched shows, for a week.Just read Fox News' motion to dismiss, and plaintiff's opposition brief, in the Smartmatic lawsuit.
What is especially interesting is not that Fox News relies on the 1A as a defense, but rather, that they are not arguing truth as a defense. Smartmatic painstakingly details over 200 false and defamatory statements made by Guiliani and Powell when on Fox News, as well as the Fox hosts' repeating those statements, paraphrasing them with approval, and adding their own false statements. Fox News adopted these false statements of fact, and now tacitly concedes that ALL the statements were false.
...
By the liars who made the statements.IMO any outcome of this needs to include an admission by Fox, on air, to propagating these false statements. Several times a day during their most watched shows, for a week.

15 second spots every 15 minutes for the next year. It takes a lot of repeating to get through the thick skulls.IMO any outcome of this needs to include an admission by Fox, on air, to propagating these false statements. Several times a day during their most watched shows, for a week.

This is true. If Fox ran hourly ads admitting to lying about the election this would not convince its viewers that the election was fair, it would convince their viewers that Fox had become part of the conspiracy. As stated, it won't make a whit of difference.
If they lied, it's because they are trying to fight the good fight for America. It's like the gut-busting insanity I heard from all my ultra-religious relatives about Trump (who they HATED during the primaries): he's the imperfect vessel of God's will. He could have sex with a boy live on Fox and he'd still be the "imperfect vessel of God's will". Team ball fanaticism all the way down. A free agent athlete who a wife-beating tax fraud? Only an issue if he's on the rival team.
The one unforgivable sin for Fox or anyone is to endorse a Democrat, or something that Democrats are for. See how Liz Chaney is being hoisted as the next target practice dummy for having the gall to say what is blatantly obvious to anyone about Jan 6.
