Currently, I utilize a VPN that is through our ISP, where I set up the VPN on the remote computer using their info, and it then connects that computer to our network. I am considering changing ISP to Comcast, and they do not offer VPN service. Since we are all using Win7 or XP, could I still utilize the built in vpn functionality within windows to establish the connection? The new ISP will provide a static IP, and this is only for intermittant working offsite, not a permanent connection. ALso, can this type of connection handle more than one logged in at a time? I dont know what type of equipment Comcast would give me, but if I have a static IP what would I need to do to establish the VPN? If I need additional hardware, what would it be, and would I need it on both ends?
