I guess fail graphics card competition is doomed to fail ...
But quite frankly, I doubt you can OV / OC any of these without voiding warranties at some point.

And, as I said before, the "noise" issue is imho irrelevant as you're going for aftermarket cooling with that kind of overexpensive useless component - and that is true for both nVidia and AMD.

The GTX 590 proved to be more competitive than I though that it would be, but yet, it didn't took the crown, it is just sharing the throne with the HD 6990 now, which means that since they perform so close, now they can start a price war competition which will benefits the consumers.

naw, neither company will be able to keep up with demand despite the faults of both cards.

I still think this is a big win for AMD, they are most likely making way more money selling the 6990 @ around 700 than Nvidia is hand picking each GPU and selling it for the same. Also I believe they (AMD) can lower the price when ever the see fit (not that it will happen for a while since they are even in performance)
