Hello,
When we prefer use video card with high VRAM?
We assume choice one graphic card from these,
Graphic card one contain 1GB VRAM and Graphic card Two contain 2GB VRAM.
Is the relative with monitor?

generally speaking......

2gb vram is good for 1920x1080p monitor resolution , or 1080p
3 or 4gb of vram is good for 2560x1440 monitor resolution, or 1440p
4gb or more vram is good for 3480x2160, or 4K resolution

When we load image with 1.5 GB size in photoshop, we need more vram?

In general , What is the task of VRAM?

2gb vram is good for 1920x1080p monitor resolution , or 1080p
3 or 4gb of vram is good for 2560x1440 monitor resolution, or 1440p
4gb or more vram is good for 3480x2160, or 4K resolution

How to calculated it?

VRAM holds the assets required to display the things you see on screen as well as the frame buffer in which the GPU builds each frame you see before pushing it to your monitor.

No, a 1.5GB photoshop file does not require that much VRAM. The OS will scale the image to the onscreen size and the GPU only needs to know what will fit on the screen, so very little VRAM usage.

In 3D applications, the VRAM will hold all of the textures and other data required to render the image, so that is where a lot of VRAM will be used. 2D simply doesn't required much and won't stress it.

That seems to be a terrible guideline for the amount of recommended VRAM a person should consider. Correct me if I get something miscalculated......

1920 x 1080 x 32 bit =
66325200 bits / 8 bits =
8294400 Bytes / 1024 Bytes =
8100 KB / 1024 KB =
7.91 MB

3840 x 2160 x 32 bit =
265420800 bits / 8 bits =
33177600 Bytes / 1024 Bytes =
32400 KB / 1024 KB =
31.64 MB

Now I know these numbers get much bigger when introducing AA of varying sorts as well as double and triple buffering, but the amount of VRAM a game's textures takes up I think is a bigger factor in today's games. Max textures in GTAV or Shadows of Mordor requires 3+ GB of VRAM regardless of resolution.

You could argue that a 1080p monitor doesn't offer the fidelity to represent such detailed textures, but it would depend on the game and how it displays textures in the finished image.

Are you talking about Vram for gaming or just for general desktop use?

There is information all over the internet about this, as well as your other thread. Wikipedia is a great tool. Do some research.

Gaming usually requires more RAM than desktop use. Google each application you want to use to determine how much VRAM it needs and can use.

If you want to play modern games at full detail you'll want 4GB. I'm getting away with 3GB (full detail) quite nicely but new cards don't tend to come with 3 anymore and 4 is more future proof.

Nowadays 2 GB is not enough for maximum settings at 1080p. Textures occupy more space than frame buffer and that means resolution is less important than big textures. Besides, effects like Order Independent Transparency need a lot of VRAM.

Both

It's a lot easier if you gave us your budget, your PC specs, your PSU specs, the maximum length of a GPU that can fit in your case, your monitor resolution and how long do you intend to keep your videocard to really answer most of your questions well.
