Yeah they are beatiful cars for sure. Having a car that nice is a foreign concept for me. I can't imagine having to deal w/car alarms, or insurance for such a costly ride. Maybe one day, and it will be a VW.

The pre-facelift versions look the best. The new ones look like ass.

I thought the same thing about the B5.5's at first, too. But they've started to grow on me, altho I'm still not crazy about the front. They do look more upscale, though, when coupled with the right rims.

Oh and btw, I think they look nice too

If VW had any common sense, they would have left the "old" design for the lesser Passats and reserved the "updated" design for the W8. As it looks now, the W8 look JUST like the other Passats which ain't a good thing in my books.

All i have to say is VW's suck (i should know i drive a jetta). I DREAD working on that big pile of german shiat. Give me a Honda anyday - i'm sick of this german crap.

The Passat was the benchmark for the new Altima design, Accord design, and a few others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

I think it's a boring plain looking car with the usual VW black-and-boring high-quality-FEELING.

I know for sure the service organisation in Sweden sucks ass bigtime.

I am a fan of Audi, but this new Passat is NO WHERE as elegent as the A4. And this Passat looks NOTHING like an A4.

Different rooflines, different rear ends, and different front ends. They look NOTHING alike IMHO. The Audi is more rounded and bulbuous while the Passat is more angular and squared off.

I was thinking just the opposite. Oh well, it's a matter of opinions I guess. I'd still take the Audi any day over the Passsat. but you can't deny the infuence in design between the sister companies.

And I'm with NFS4...I like the pre-facelift 2001's and under better. The chrome all over on the 2005.5's looks gawdy. Me no like.
