actually no, I did not miss that review.
problem is, it's a DVD+RW, this is DVD-RW.
so in numerical terms, this drive dominates it's category! hehe..
really though, no website has YET to bother telling us what the real technical differences are between the two standards. all I know for sure is that DVD+RW seems to have a fair amount of computer drive manufacturers behind it (like Ricoh who no longer sells to North America)..
both technologies seem to be equal in terms of capabilities.. compatability wise
it looks like the DVD-RW standard appears to be able to be read properly by other DVD standards better, if that link has any truth to it (so far it hasn't failed me for info).
the only difference is, that Pioneer drive is almost a year old, the Ricoh drive was just released.
