Wahlgreen Energizer NiMH battery charger/2 batteries $9.95 after rebate, plus even better deals

This weeks Wahlgreen flier lists Energizer NiMH battery charger for $19.95 with $10 mail in rebate. Picture of charger in add reads "2 batteries included". It doesn't say what variety so I would assume they are AA. Add also lists 2 pack NiMH AA or AAA for $7.99 -$4 rebate.

Way old. You can pick up the same pack from a Fry's Electronic (if there's one in your area) for about $10 now. (If you're talking about the wall charger that fits 4xAA or AAA or 2x 9v.) If you can find the $10 rebate too, all the better. There was some other place that had it for $10 before a rebate, but I don't remember where.

Nice find at Comp USA. The only problem is the batteries are only 600mAh, but for $.01 it's not bad. The highest rating I've seen lately on AA and AAA NiMH batteries are 1800mAh...

I was arguing with one of the circuit city morons the other day cause he tried to explain how Monster batteries were the best you could buy and that's why they were $40 a pack. I was about to get in a fight cause he was full of sh!t, but then I remembered it was a sales pitch and he prolly didn't know that most batteries are made in the same factories. For those of you buying batteries....things to look for:

Reputable brand since some cheap ones leak and who wants their Digital camera ruined by a $3 battery?
Type of rechargable.....NiMH or NiCd....NiMH is better
mAh rating =milli Amp hours or how long the battery will last
Name brands only matter to an extent, but since they all have the same ratings buy a couple of one brand and try them out to see how they perform. Once you find a brand that has good ratings, buy more.

In fact, you can find Energizer NIMH/NICD charger with 8 NIMH rechargable batteries (1700mAH rating) for only $19.99 in Sam's Club, not rebates. It's not a bad deal. These batteries are made in Japan, looks very nice, I have used them in my Dimage 5 digital camera which is really power hungry. BTW, the AA size can rated upto 1800mAH by far, the AAA size can be 700mAH as far as I know.

The Energizer batteries and charger at Sam's are made by Millennium Batteries
I picked up a set myself, best deal out there by far.
This charger combo at Amazon show's it with the same charger.

There's no question to there being 1800 mAh AAs. The highest AAA rating on other hand is more like 700mAh. Scarpozzi's post made it sound like 1800mAh was available for AA AND AAA.

I think both the Walgreens rebate and the Enegizer manf rebate require the UPC (yes?, no?).

I tried Comp USA BM today for the AAA batteries and charger without luck. Sold out. Add says not available via mail order/internet but I was able to order online, same deal except for $5 S&H. I guess i should change the thead to reflect the other deals that have shown up here.

Please someone post a scan of the energizer rebate. I have looked on their siite (www.energizr.com) without luck. sent them an emailand have not heard back (energizer). I went to Kmart but that hole of a store had no rebate forms for the energizersot, and frget any of the idiots at the store I was at aving ny ieda wer to find th rebae form. Therefore I really need a copy of the rebate form for the energizer charger badly PLease anyone

Thanks for the scan xli1. Now I am wondering if this offer applies to the Sam's Club charger and 8 batteries for $19.95. If so, that would be a hot one. The picture on the rebate form does not show the one from Sam's Club if that means anything.

Colie, this rebate will not work for Sam's club's charger and batteries, it's not the same model.

I think you are right xli1, but looking at the scan there is no model number specified for the charger. Since the Sam's Club is a Energizer charger bought within the last 2 weeks, I might just take a chance and send it in. Like risking 34 cents for $10, probably about as much chance of winning as that last 30 to 1 shot I bet on at Turfway.

The Kmart where I live doesn't even have any rechargable batteries or chargers! I went there a month or so ago and the only package I fpund in the entire store was inside a kit with a camera bag, 8mb smartmedia card and charger with 4 batteries. Crazy... you'd think they would know that rechargables are pretty desirable to have around these days.
