just to warn you, i read a long thread in a german forum and this board seems to be one of the worst in terms of stability and oc´ing. u may better wait and see wether those results are single cases or the AB9 is infact not a good board.

Thanks for the input. Im not in a big hurry since I have no idea when my E6600 will arrive. I think Ill wait to see reviews of the 590 boards before making a final decision.

Yes, I jumped on the ASRock 775Dual-VSTA as well

for $300 I'm getting a decent E6400 CPU and basically a disposable MB that's 1/5 the price of a 975MB

I was looking to make the platform upgrade but there were too many comprimises - I would have had to invest about $1000 on componenets that might not work all that well together

I'm betting that the $700 I saved going with the Asrock will buy some nice stuff in 6-8 months and meanwhile I can enjoy what is still a really nice chip

I said I was going to wait for new mobos but I got to speccing out a AM2 3800 X2 rig for my daughter and discovered for just a $160 more I could do a E6400 and overclock it to at least 3.0GHz with the ASUS P5WH Deluxe mobo so now I decided to go ahead and do that for her. She doesnt need a SLI setup so its a good choice for her. For my own rig I'm still waiting for a Conroe SLI mobo thats worthy of my money though.
