Wal*Mart Friday Sale

Does walmart close thanksgiving day or that evening and open up for business the following morning at 6 am ?
I have been to BB,Circuit City, Toys R Us etc but I am not familiar with how walmart works being
as most of them are open 24 hrs

I work at walmart and im told it will be open overnight (24/7 superstore were im at).
The big items like the TV will be wrapped in black plastic in pallets to the main action alley and will be unwrapped at 6am

the camera and the dvd/vcr combo were the only things that caught my eye, althought the tv is a good price i already have a 27"

I know the TV is a symphonic, but at $150 for a 27" do you think its worth it? I have a 19" RCA now with S-Video and composite inputs and Audio outputs. Its probably 7 years old, but runs like a champ.

Concerning the Symphonic DVD/VHS combo:

It took lots of searching to discover that Symphonic is one of three brands made by FUNAI. One of the others is Emerson. If you search the funai website, you will see that they do not even list a DVD/VHS combo! If I can't view the specs, Im not gonna buy. And I'm sure as heck not gonna get out in traffic the day after Thanksgiving just to find out if this thing has S-video ! Also the lack of reviews on epinions or anywhere else is not a good sign for me.

But on the other hand how can you go wrong with a $150 27" !! I was about to spend $500 on a 32" Toshiba!?!

It's got the model number listed right under the picture It says model AD-1010W

Look like the post in correct. WalMart's Black Friday ad is in my local paper's Wednesday edition. Thinking about the 13" TV-VCR combo, anyone know it its any good.

optical zoom is just like ___. one always wants more... 3x zoom is better than no zoom at all, and that's about it. there's always going to be some shots that won't get got because the zoom wasn't enough... if i'm trying to talk a mgr down about an open box/display, it be another story tho
