Meh, nothing worth actually going into WallyWorld to get. I'd rather pay a bit more to not see the peopleofwallmart

Agree with the exception of the 360 Arcade with a $100 gift card. That's a helluva deal.

I bought their $298 laptop last year and it is a decent machine. That one was able to take a Core 2 Duo which I did install. Hopefully this one will too. With these prices I can afford to buy a new laptop every year and still sell the old one for nearly what I paid. It's a free upgrade every 12 months!

I'm trying to think why I shouldn't buy that X360. I can think of a thousand reasons, including the fact that I probably will never use it, much less open it. If I use it heavily, I'll end up paying $$ for accessories anyways.

Great deal for whoever wants one. Expect EBAY to be flooded with 150 brand new X360A units lol.

Tempted to pull the trigger on the Xbox, but it only seems to make sense if you don't want a HD. It seems silly to spend the $100 gift card on a 60gig HD/3 Month Xbox live setup, which I think they sell for $80. At that point, you just might as well get the Elite, right?

But what I might do is "split" it with someone else. Would this work?

Buy one Xbox for $200
Get $100 gift card.
Use Gift card to buy another Xbox 360. Out of pocket = $100.
Get another $100 gift card.
Each have $50 to spend on accessories (another controller and charger)
Total out of pocket = $300 / 2 = $150 (plus tax)

No?

sharps are bad? I thought the aquos was a higher end set?

Just because it's Aquos, doesn't mean it's good. I hear that quite a bit from uninformed users. There are models in Aquos series that retail for $600, as well as $2000. And they are NOT the same. That said, this particular model is 60Hz with poor contrast ratio. May very well be too big for kitchen TV, and too crapy for living room. Would have to see it.

That $298 laptop seems like a great deal. Might have to get out of bed early on Saturday.

It is simply amazing how the morons of this world really believe we care about their opinion of Walmart. Please keep it yourselves, or maybe take your opinion to “off topic”.

42" LCD for 500 bucks ain't bad either.

According to AVS Forum, Walmart will not longer be carrying Sharp brand, so they're dumping the product. Supposedly you could pick it up now and take the receipt back on Saturday to get price adjustment (never done it myself, so YMMV.)

I understand it's not the best specs, but is there anything out there in the $500 range for a 1080p 42?

I think this one has the Sempron M100 CPU.
Whether or not it can be swapped out, I don't know.
At that price, I don't know if one could justify swapping out CPU's considering what a higher end laptop might cost.
