150 to be in place by ~summer next year, dallas to also have a network starting next year, and NRG is in talks with san antonio utilities to put them up there too.


texas is also going to be home to the world's most advanced clean coal plant, with 90% carbon capture. clean and coal may be antonyms but as much wind/solar/etc. capacity is coming on-line, an order of magnitude more coal power is coming on-line. clean coal is necessary. and we're doing it here (in addition to leading the country in wind power). suck it california

LOL, nice try though. I think the main thing about Texas with regards to new energy sources is that its actually possible to build things there, instead of just talking about building things. Up here the charging stations would probably have been blocked by the development review board because some one claimed they emitted microwaves that cause brain cancer.
