This doesn't make sense to me. The money has been spent. It's not in the equation any more. That ship has sailed. Move on.

The relevant question becomes: would I be happier watching this movie or walking out? If you would get more joy out of not watching the movie, why the heck would you stay? Spend the two hours doing something fun instead.

Time is money. Staying is just throwing good money (your time) after bad.

Yes, I walk out of a movie if I don't like it.

(This even ignores the additional benefit of possibly getting your money back.)

I walked out on Lord of The Rings part II but that's because some a$$holes kids were playing with they're mobile phones - calling each other as a practical joke during the movie, it drove me crazy, I couldn't track them down, so the wife and I left, went straight into the manager's office, got 2 free open tickets + free popcorn & drinks (since I didn't enjoy what I already bought as it was).

Same - that movie was part of the first date I had with my fiancee, but we both stuck it out. I heard it was funny ... sorry, but wanting to vomit most of the way through the movie was NOT amusing.

I did walk out of FEAR DOT COM though ... ugh that movie was horrible, not sure what I was thinking. Only took me 10 minutes and I was gone.

You took a girl to Borat for your first date? Did you even WATCH the trailers?

I didn't, but if there was ever a movie that I should have it was this horrid mess of a movie.

How does someone go to a movie called "Dude, where's my car?" and not know that they will be in for 2 hours of the lowest forms of comedy imaginable? I personally went to see that movie myself and I thought it was pretty funny, but that probably had to do with the 2 blunts we smoked immediately preceding it.

And, for the record, how dare someone say they would walk out on Spaceballs? I'm guessing you are too young to appreciate that one. And the guy who walked out on Borat, I second that you should have known what you were getting into...and that movie was f'in hilarious, and you should be shot.

I went to the Cell with my wife who was sickened by a couple of scenes, and didn't want to stay. We thought to check with the ticket counter, and they couldn't refund us the money, but they did give us free passes to use at a later date. for good customer service there, especially as we didn't really expect anything.

Wait a sec... how long ago did Borat come out? And you are engaged now? Isn't it a bit soon?

Don't know wtf I was thinking ... I had a few people tell me that it was hilarious and such, and she seemed to favor the idea because we couldn't figure out another movie. That had to have been the worst idea ever, but hey - we're still together!

Lemme guess, the scene of the horse being dissected by plates of glass then separated had something to do with this ?

To be quite honest, we were engaged in July, after dating a little over 8 months. You might consider that soon, I don't. I've known plenty of people who were engaged after a month, or sooner and some after years. But that's neither here nor there - I enjoy my current situation. Now back to the topic on hand.

Might consider that soon? Naw...that IS soon...that's very soon...only way to say if it's "too soon" is how long you two manage to stick it out.
