I went to WALL-E last night. I really have limited experience with the Pixar movies, but I thought this was just a stunning artistic and technological accomplishment. I think kids might have trouble with it from an attention-span standpoint, but I thought it was brilliant, effective as a sci-fi story, and surprisingly touching.

It's not a kids' movie, but it definately is a good movie. I was there on opening night and the oldest person in there that wasn't a parent, and it was dead quiet. They hardly laughed at all because it all whizzed right over their heads, but I loved it.

There's simple stuff like the mac "dong," twinkies still being fresh after 700 years, cockroaches being the only living thing after 700 years, how the humans were wearing blue suits before being jolted to reality and red suits after (mirroring the red pill/blue pill in the Matrix) etc. And the movie also makes you think about what defines intelligence, how something inanimate can possibly become something intelligent, and of course how mindless consumerism can completely screw everything up.

I saw it on the 3rd with my nephew & his cousin. They are 7 & 6, and they loved it, as did I. I had to hold back the tears at the end.

Just had a new AMC open nearby and the digital quality is superb!

Great movie too - a fine piece of art.

I saw Wall-E at my local AMC on a DLP screen and it had HORRENDOUS banding. Really took away from the movie.

Just got back from seeing this with my girlfriend. I'm a big fan of Pixar movies, and I absolutely loved this one

Movies rarely effect me emotionally the way this one did. A great achievement, artistically and in the way the story was told.

It's a shame that movies like The Happening are even in the same theater as Wall-E.

Saw it last Thursday with the GF. I personally loved it. Another Pixar masterpiece. But yes, this one was designed for adults moreso than kids.

Even as a "conservative" I enjoyed seeing the anti-consumerism message portrayed as it was. Wall-E, Eve, and Roach all had their own personalities. Amazing how they can do that with no dialogue! I also loved how Wall-E makes the Apple boot sound when he is fully charged. Nice touch! But as usual, the Pixar magic is everywhere, especially in the details.

I would even go see it again!

"But they ripped off Johnny 5 from Short Circuit!!!!111oneoneone
WAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

If people would actually go see a "kid's movie" instead of making stupid statements like that, they might enjoy life more.
I loved it, like most of Pixars stuff. "Presto" was great too, I nabbed it off of that foreign site with Orbit to watch!

I was kind of turned off right away by its obvious political agenda.

I suppose if the idea of Michael Moore and Al Gore getting together to try and make a subtle variation on their movies into a disney flick sounds interesting to you, you'll like it right away. It was always in the back of my mind so I didn't appreciate it as much as I could have. This is obviously the reason why the film is being applauded in all corners of the net as well. Much more so then it deserves.

The whole robot becoming sentient, and retaining his memory and all that at the end was pretty touching. Really I'd say watch the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes and just skip the rest in between. Of course I can't be too hard on it since I dozed off more then once before the end.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the most disconcerting thing of all was that the movie didn't have a single memorable "funny" moment. It simply wasn't funny at all and took itself entirely too seriously.

I just saw it last night. Excellent movie with a bold message. Dare I say I almost shed a tear during a few parts? *sniffle*

Yeah..you're full of fail..I'm sure you didn't like a movie you judged from the start and dozed off during.

It's not like you had some huge agenda pushed down your throat, it's a love story with a premise based on a future that isn't so far fetched.

And no, if you had paid attention you would know that it isn't just a bunch of eco-friendly people who love Wall-E, it's people who want a good story and deep characters.

Well, I didn't care for the political agenda, but I didn't let it turn me off of the film. Same usually goes for music.

I think it's easy to feel sad for something you feel is so innocent and child-like, so no qualms... at least the end was tears of joy!!

I don't think it was the child-like quality of Wall*E, it was more his complete dedication to Eva and the plant. Such a determined little guy *sniff*.

I didn't judge it actually, i had no real idea what to expect other then a Pixar movie. I had no idea it was so politically charged nor did i know it wasn't going to have dialog. It was completely not what I expected but I didn't know that until I watched it. Pixar movies are supposed to be heartwarming and this one was, they're supposed to be funny as well and this is by far the least funny pixar movie. I can't recall a single part of the movie that was even remotely funny and nobody outside a few individuals even did more then chuckle at a few parts.

I dozed off a bit but probably missed maybe 5 minutes of actual movie. I only mention it because I have really never dozed off in a movie before. Most of this movie was just flat out boring.

And as far as the ratings, people are freaking crazy IMO to like this movie so much. Yes its OK but on IMDB its like in the top 20 movies of all time. Give me a freaking break. I couldn't care less if I'm the only one who feels this way. I felt the same way about "Wanted" and everyone seems to love that piece of trash.

Everything being said I still like the movie OK, even if its the worst Pixar movie in recent memory (Bee movie was almost as bad though) doesn't mean its not still good. Its just not "Better then the Godfather" good.
