Oh they were just stuck there without any adhesive? I kinda figured they were glued in place or something lol. Yeah they must have just grabbed enough to be hard to pull out. Yeah just drill the holes deeper (hopefully you don't end up on the neighbour's side lol) and should be good to go. I'd maybe think about replacing the damaged ones, or just use them for the bottom holes if you feel they can still grab well enough. The top ones are the ones that will see the most pull force.

Were you afraid of punching through to the neighbors' basement or something?

Is the sleeve exposed? If so, hopefully, you're trying to pull them out by the sleeve, not the center bolt. Remove or loosen the nut so the sleeve can slide.

If that alone doesn't work, try tapping on the center bolt just a little. Hopefully there's enough space remaining in the hole that it could become unwedged from the sleeve. Again, don't pull the bolt.

Anchors are removed! And I drilled the remaining required depth in the existing holes. A little light tapping was enough, then just needed to muscle out the anchors by grabbing the sleeve with pliers.

Moment of stupidity is what I'm going to call it. Measured how far I wanted it to embed in the concrete. Instead of just setting the depth gauge to, you know, the length of the anchor. Lol

But the amount of effort required to remove them gives me great reassurance as to holding up my TV. Can't wait for this second coat of joint compound to dry so I can sand it, give it a coat or two of primer, then paint and hang the TV. So excited this is shaping up almost as well as I imagined. As usual, a few hangups that slowed the pace or more effort required than expected (far more into painting than I imagined at first but this approach should give me the wall appearance I really want in the end).
