Wall prototypes - which one do you like ?

They put up 8 prototypes for the border wall. Can any of them work?
I originally thought/ hoped in March of 2016 that the wall would be completed in 9 months. It has been 9 months. We do have prototypes, but that is NOT a completed wall. If the wall gets completed it will surely only be after a vicious fight in the capital.
Since I was wrong, I am reporting for my punishment. I'm betting I can count on you.

Hard to tell from the short video and article which one looks the most promising. Of course they all look imposing but it really depends on which ones stands up the best to the testing and trialing phase.

I'm in favor of walling off the southern border...but we need armed guard towers every so often... maybe every 1/4 to 1/2 mile?
Just building a physical barrier won't be enough...sure, it will stop some folks...but if they're determined, they'll get over/under it.

The best part of it is that the so-called Mexican invasion is over & has been since the demise of the ownership society. The ilegal population leveled off with 2/3 having been in this country 10 years or more.

Well, Trump wants the Mexicans to pay for the wall that we build. I'm thinking it should be the other way around. It'll be much cheaper, a whole bunch of Mexicans would be gainfully employed, the wall would have various tunnels and hatches and hidey holes already built in to save the Mexicans the hassle of doing it after it's built and Trump will be so pleased at how little it cost that he'd convert the savings into a nice hefty tax cut for himself and his billionaire buddies on Wall Street.

In this way Trump could claim that Mexico paid for the wall (in blood sweat and tears), he'd get a nice tax cut for himself, his supporters would think him a keeper of promises and vow to re-elect him, the Mexicans that cross the border illegally and the big American agri-businesses etc. that break the law by hiring them would be happy that the status quo was maintained and the only folks who will get ripped off from the Big Deal that Trump made with the Mexicans are the millions of American working class stiffs who didn't want it but ended up paying for it all anyway.

It makes me sad to know there are people like you who believe a physical wall - when there is already a fence - is going to drastically decrease any amount of illegal immigration. Since they can just hop a boat and get in anyway. What a waste of badly needed US resources.

I find the two tone concrete bottom with blue steel upper to be quite fashionable. Notice the rounded upper lip prevents a grappling hook from latching onto it to deter rappelling. Now if we could only paint a smiley face or something on it then we'd be all set.

Really though we do need them along populated areas to prevent illegal crossings. I lived along the border for over 6 years and witnessed illegal crossings first hand. They would just cut holes in the chain-link fence in El Paso at will and on any given day you could watch people coming and going unimpeded.

You really didn't read up much on what is involved.

How long did you think all those eminent domain lawsuits to seize all the needed open farmland was going to take?

How long does it take private companies with secured capital to build pipelines?
That's a cakewalk compared to this boondoggle of an idea.
