Hey...that's YOUR opinion. Some buttfckrs are actually quite good looking! In the future please don't speak for all of us :|

Man, that was a lot of verbage to basically find out that the deal is the RipGo for $50. Got it for around $25 after rebate from CompUSA several months ago...It's OK, but suffers a number of drawbacks. The biggest one is: It won't record or play CDRW blanks...So when you buy those 50 cent 3" CD blanks, you can only buy the write once variety. This seems an idiotic design decision by Imation IMHO.

But at any rate, it's OK for $50...Personally, I think it's a bit neither here nor there. Not as good as a solid state MP3 player for those who jog, not as good as a hard drive based MP3 player for those who want oodles of storage space. But OK at the price...

where I'm at it will always be CompUSSR..as they are a pita on PMing to BB which is located right behind them..now if its at the OD(right beside them..
) they'll do backflips/bark like a seal/give you candy(yes..one time they handed out candy..goofy they are..).. to keep your money...lol..they even PMed to CC which is a 5 minute drive...but BB.....ohhhh no...:music: <edit> and OD will PM to CompUSSR and accept coupons on top...

Uhmm... well...

Funny, since I just burned 3 CDRWs with it and just played back songs off each one to confirm it worked. Even went so far as to reformat one of them and redid it to re-confirm it works.

I got mine for $19 (rebate came pretty quick) but I think the thing is a POS. I just got my second replacement from Imation. After a while or use it stops recogizing the discs I burn with it.

I don't think it's an ad but I do think the guy is just plain inconsiderate for not having a more descriptive thread title.

The best deal for an MP3 player is the Toshiba e335 deal for free after rebates and PM's. Enhanced with an MP3 program it is perfect player, with a huge color LCD, many preset equalizers, playlists, upgradable SD memory...

Where is that deal? I did a search but came up with a $150 deal. Where's it free?

Sorry Harry, you're too late. There were 2 OD rebates ($100 & $50) on it if you purchased between 5-4/5-5 thru 5-9 and a $100 Toshiba rebate that expired on the 15th (I believe).

I should be getting paid for mine since OD was nice enough to let me use an OMax $50 online coupon

Yes, Harry, it is kinda dead, now, I mentioned it in the context of "best deal ever" comment. There is a nice deal on e740, buy from Staples at 499, Pm to CDW at 299, use a 40$ off coupon, pay about 240 for a very nice PocketPC. However it will be an overkill for a simple mp3 player.

Whether anyone will get both $50 and $100 rebates is being debated. I got mine for $30 with one rebate. If I get both rebates, OD paid me $20 to get a e335

Again, the whole idea here is to get people a portable mp3 player for a few bucks. If you can find a better deal than $50 for this one post it. Fine, whatever, I'm not here to compete. Just trying to help. There isn't a Flash-memory based player out there right now I'd touch over this thing. But you know what they say about opinions...

I've received thousands of dollars in rebates.. and never have missed one.. I track them all and make copies. I would wait for compusa to clear out this player again for like 30 bucks.. i've purchased 4 of them at this price.

well i am never in favor of totally deep frying someone who obviously thought he was doing us all a favor... i mean on one the hand he only has 6 posts guys - sheesh, send a few flames his way to set him on the right course and we keep another new member who'll learn as they go. on the other hand he obviously didn't read the rules, consequently he didn't do a search, and sooooo he ends up posting a deal that has been posted twice already -- for twice as much cashola... hence, more charred remains of yet another over-zealous ñÖºß!¡!

don't take it personal m8 - it's happened to most of us a one point or another. here ya go... this oughta do the trick

Didn't your mothers teach you naysayers anything...If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all!!!!
Shut your yaps about this guy bringing this deal to us. You know if everyone got blasted for bringing us deals then this would be the lamest board in the world...but, most of the time we don't blast guys because the deals are good...so,what if you got this thing for $20 3 months ago...you can't get it for that now!!! and the best deal is $50 now, so live with it. And who says you have you to buy it!!!:disgust:
br0adband, I hope you don't get frustrated with these bozos who come out firing at you for giving us an entertaining read on your experience of buying this product. I, for one and glad to see new guys come here and gives us deals...keep up the good work.

Stockjock is now done with his rant!!
