Want a real sword for $26 bucks?

Not bad. Don't know anything about this sword, but for $26 it's the right price. How's HSN for a vendor? Reliable / no problems?

Just be aware it's only 2 feet long. HSN does have other swords, though. Some are price okay, but nothing out-of-this world, as far as I can tell. Anyone know a good source for seeing the pictures of these things? I'd like to add some more to my collection.

I actually bought a dagger from them back in December as a present, and although it took them some time to get around to shipping it, it did show up with a minimum of hassle and it was surprisingly high quality for the $10ish I paid for it (after coupon).

Yep I noticed the same thing... a few for under 30ish + s/h.

FYI, I ordered some swords from one of those late night tv shopping things... was supposed to be a large claymore + 4 other 2+ foot swords for $99.

I dunno... I guess you get what you pay for. The swords weren't *bad* or anything, but they were nothing like what they looked like on tv. Lots were scratched and the brass hilts were dull, etc. The claymore was plenty long but seemed "loose" and kinda cheap.

Was ok for me because I was expecting it I guess... just figure if you jump on this, plan for a sword worth $26 bucks and you'll be happy - maybe pleasantly surprised.

This is a good deal in my book - I love swords.

what the heck does that mean? chinese make some of the best swords. if my memory serves me right, they are the first one to use chromium to coat their bronze sword. so, there are actually swords from ~200BC in perfect condition.

Doesn't seem that you need to know much to become a golden member.

Actually.. the Made in China part isn't bad... its the Stainless steel blade part that sucks. This is no stronger than your kitchen knife. The blade should be folded! not stainless steel.
