I'm looking for a few opinions on the Dell E193FP. The price seems too good to be true.

I originally was interested in the Viewsonic VP912b, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $150.

Does anyone have experience with the Dell regarding the quality / clarity etc...?

I'm having a difficult time finding reviews.

i've read some here and there, I think the general consensus is that it is poor for gaming, alot of users have experienced ghosting on games. If you're not a gamer, I heard the text are crisp and sharp.

The 17" listed above is only $254 at the same place

Dude that has a 25ms response time. That is not a gaming monitor. 16 is as high as most gamers will want to go. 12ms or less is prefered for the intense FPS player.

I have been looking into teh ADI a905. 16 response time w/DVI and a tru 16.7m collors (8 bit) not to mention a crystal clear picture(I have one at work). They seem to retail right about the $500 point from what i've seen but according to pricewath pccityusa.com has them for $30 with free shipping right now.

Check out the Viewsonic VP912B. It looks like it might be pretty decent for gaming. 12ms 19" LCD.

I have the vp912b and couldnt be happier with it. First of all it is incredibly sharp w/DVI, it shows no ghosting, has excellent color, and it is also very good with everyday activities like web browsing, word, etc. If i were you the only thing i would wory a little about woulb be the screen coating on it does glare when something is black or very dark however ive only noticed it ounce in the ~2 months ive had mine. I give it a 10/10

I heard the BenQ 19" one was pretty good. It's $370 on newegg.

It has DVI, 16ms response time, super bright, most people dont get dead pixels, and is pretty clear. Max res. of 12x10. Probably what i'm getting once i get the money...

ice024.... folks need to stop saying "watch out for the glare on the VP912B"... anyone who buys one new today and in the future will be getting the standard MATTE screen with the VP912B... Viewsonic simply doesn't ship them with the glare glass anymore, as they switched to Matte screens for all 2005 shipments!

On the BenQ 19", the thing that bothers me about that one is that AnandTech themselves said it has poor interloption... in other words anything other then native resolution, the BenQ usually comes in behind the pack at other then native resolution. Also, I'll take 12ms over 16ms on refresh, but if money is a concern then you might consider the Sceptre X9G-Gamer for just over $400 on newegg. That's a 12ms 19" monitor with DVI input.

Still, I think if you can afford $550, the Viewsonic 912B is probably the best bet.
