We have now shipped 44 Beta Testers for C4-NGen plus 25 more to FRAGZILLA Lan 10 to FRAGZILLA Tournament winners who will win C4-NGen Pro-Gamer size, 16"x16".

Hi Sherry,

I would to qualify as a tester for the beta test for the Son of C4 Mousemat. I am very interested in your product and would like to test it out. I am on the computer for at least 5 hours a day and I would like to try out a high quality pad, compared to my dell pad.

1) Have you been a member of Anandtech for at least a year?

I have not been a member of Anandtech for a year, but I have been a
very active member of PCstats.com for about a year. Currently, I
have been a member over Anantech for just over a month, but I am
extremely active in the forums and I am totally committed to
computers and computer related products and activities.

2) Is the majority of your Gaming done on PC gaming?

All my gamings are done on PC's. I play games such as Warcraft
III, Counter-Strike, Battlefield 1942, Halo, and etc all the time.

3) Do you compete in Lan competitions, design PC games, do PC Gaming or
Gaming Product Reviews or have other achievements which demonstrate
your committment to PC Gaming?

Most people would consider me to be a hardcore PC gamer. My friends
and I set up a lan party every weekend and we joyfully compete with
each other.

4) Are you willing and committed to giving feedback to the supplied
questionaire on this forum by the deadline?

Yes, I am 110% committed to giving feedback to teh supplied
questionaire on this forum by the deadline. I check the forums every
hour and read nearly everything on it.

5) Do you have any direct affiliations with other Mousepad companies
that might influence your objective review of this product?

I'm sorry to say I dont have any direct affilitations with other
mousepad companies to influence my objective review of this
product. If I am qualified, this will be my first time.

I'm very interested also, I'm not sure whether you would prefer an e-mail or a reply here so I'll do both. I have been a member of Anandtech longer than I can remember. In fact, every component in my system was purchased through tips in the Hot Deals forum. I do all my gaming on the PC, I play BF1942/Desert Combat competitely with clan -=[TOK]=-. We are nationally ranked in both the TWL and Squadgaming ladders and host a bi-annual tournament in association with www.bluewiretech.com. I am a 3d designer by trade and spend 75% of my waking hours in front of my computer. I feel I would be able to make a solid contribution to your testing with an honest critique. Good luck with this new product. I don't know that I should be a drain on your resources here and be a beta tester - I already bought the sticky-back C4 and love it. My "review" of it is in the C4 thread in the Hot Deals forum. Quite an excellent mousing surface. I'd imagine that a rubber backing could only enhance it - same mousing surface, but with mobility. What more could you want?

Hi. Looks like we're all set. We have many many qualified Testers. The Test Product is 8.5" x 10". Emails/PMs will be going out next week with Beta Tester #. The Beta Test Questionaire will be posted here on this thread. Please respond using your Beta Tester #.

I think most applicants got in.

INSTRUCTIONS: Enclosed is a C4, NGen , size 8.5? x 10?. We have included Teflon® Mouse Discs. These are for your mice feet. We will ask you to try your C4, NGen without Discs and later, with Discs. We?ll want to know which way you prefer to use C4, NGen.

C4, NGen has two sides: The copper super slick Mousing surface and the Black Grip backing. Before you set up your C4, NGen, make sure the area where you?ll place it is clean, dry and smooth. If the C4, NGen needs to be cleaned on either side, you can rinse it with water and soap. Both surfaces are very chemically inert so most substances can be wiped off. We recommend using a sponge or washcloth. Paper sheds too much. Make sure it?s dry before positioning.

You can cut your C4, NGen to the exact size of your mousing surface using scissors. The black backing is a grip surface so it may grab dust as you handle it. Remember?just rinse it off and let it air dry. Your C4, NGen is a thin gauge tough material. It is also lightweight and portable. You can roll it up (loosely) and carry it with you. We do not recommend bending or creasing it.
