It is very clear to me that you do not know many Trump supporters. You need to believe what you wrote, almost obsessively so, otherwise the entire house of cards you've built comes crashing down.
I know several, tbh. I worked in a blue collar union shop for decades. I stopped by at lunchtime a couple of weeks ago. Some things & some people never change.

Yeah, that GOP was just a bastion of female empowerment before Drumpf showed up. What happened?!

Shoot, she musta plum forgot about all the times Fox talking heads asked young women to stay home on election day, to just go back to browsing Tinder?

I suppose it's nice that a moron like that finally sees the light...even if it took a million candle power spotlight directly in her face to make it happen.

Patriarchy!!! Of course there are some feminists who would look down on your wife, our future President being one of them.

"I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies and had teas, but what I decided to do was to fulfill my profession which I entered before my husband was in public life."

Ask any stay at home mom. It's nothing but tea and cookie baking.
To be fair, she worked for like 15+ years and then the company she worked for went out of business because the owner was embezzling money and fled the country. She has no work history other than that one company, and she injured her knee a year or so ago, so nobody wants to hire her now.

She's likely at home playing some World of Warcraft or eating some Chilli since I made a big batch and left it simmering overnight.

That somewhat undermines your point. Blue collar union workers, particularly in blue states, have been reliable Democrat voters for decades. These are not overtly religious people and they strongly reject the GOP because its been traditionally anti-union. Say the words "right to work state" and they whip into a frenzy. These are not people exposed or susceptible to years of right wing propoganda.

Yet they love Trump.

What's the appeal? Hint. It's not because they hate women or fear Mooslims or have an irrational hatred for Hillary Clinton.

It's the economy stupid.

Other than drumpf saying he grabs them by the pussy, what proof is there?

Once that was out there, it doesn't matter if he did or not. The words alone condemn him. Turning it into a he said/ she said distracts from that & allows undeserved wiggle room.

Now you know what minorities have felt emanating from your party for the last decade or two, Ms. Carpenter.

I consider myself liberal, and my woman is at home and doesnt work. I bring home the bacon, she cooks it.

Here is my supper just about every night. Put tortillas down on a plate and cover with shredded cheese. Put in microwave. Cut up tomato and mix with corn and beans and salsa. Put on top of chips and top with lettuce.

I eat this at 200 nights a year and probably more like 250.

If I outlive my wife, I am going to rent out a new mother for myself who can do all the cooking for me. I want home cooked meals again before I die.

Um. Learn to cook?

My wife made a big old pot of meat sauce and rolls from scratch over the weekend.

I made a slow cooker pot roast and potatoes the next day. Later this week I'll make from scratch breaded chicken breasts stuffed with pesto, feta cheese, and sundried tomatoes.

We both have the same engineering degree from the same university, work for the same employer and she makes more than me by the way.

Only a few of my former coworkers are Trump fans. They were conditioned to be Trump fans before he threw his hat in the ring. It's all in the shitty attitude. They thought the system was rigged even making $60-80K with full boat benefits & retirement. They barely scraped through high school. It's not like straight thinking was ever their forte. They still hate de gubmint after working at a govt agency for years in what really is a pretty gravy job, all things considered. They hate the Union, too, of course, even though they'd be making a lot less outside. Trying to talk to them at any level higher than guns, pickups & the job was a pointless gesture.

Bshole, even if we had the time... that knowledge of homemade meals from scratch has largely been lost. Not passed down between generations. I know _nothing_ my grandparents did for meals. We all get to enjoy heating up our frozen salt-a-paloozas.

Cookbooks exist dude. Your grandparents probably ate a lot stews, casseroles and fried food. Its not like the act of heating food was somehow lost when the microwave was invented.

Go buy a goddamn slow cooker and a book on cooking with one. Here is a free recipe:
1. Go to store.
2. Go to the meat section, find stew meat (Cutting your own is in the advanced class)
3. Buy some potatoes (oblong brown things), carrots (long orange things), celery (long green things), and an onion (round white thing).
4. Find a packet in the spice section that says Stew Seasoning.
5. Combine all those ingredients in a slow cooker, mix seasoning with water.
6. Turn on slow cooker, go somewhere else for 8-10 hours.
7. Eat stew. If you want to be classy, put some in a bowl. Add some bread to the side. If you feel frisky, maybe eat a small salad with it.

Congrats, you have food for 4 or 5 meals.

wow, that sucks. I make something every weekend, from lasagna, to chili to smoked pork shoulder to brisket and have my lunches for the week. Cooking isn't hard, and it's a ton cheaper and healthier than eating out every day.

And I have a few of those guys exactly like that where I work and I make it a point to never ever discuss politics with them. They are so hardened by years of Rovian doublespeak and disingenuous propaganda that they are for all intent and purpose mere repeater stations for FOX/Limbaugh broadcasts.

It's a fucking tragedy. I know plenty like this, too. Millions of them are out there.

Maybe you and the wife could go take some couples cooking lessons? When you are both alive?

Sounds like my life as a defense contractor.

How much do I agree with this? Let me put it this way; my boss was a Dubya appointee.
