Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is due out September of this year and I personally have never been more excited for a PC game to come out.

I was even in the WoW beta and I wasn't that excited for that game.

Being an avid raider on WoW for three years now, I've finally come to end of my wits with that game. The majority of the players don't even know what they are talking about anymore. And I'm tired of guild hopping with T6 gear into guilds that have progressed to say Sunwell and then once I join can't even seem to beat Najentus.

I'm ready for a change.

The general gameplay of WAR just looks sweet, plus they have collision detection implemented and already have gotten numerous awards. The system requirements will be pretty tough as well.

My guess will be nothing short of a dual-core processor, 2GB ram, and I'd say an 8800GT at the least for playing on decently high resolutions. No official specs have been given, just a guess. Judging from what I've seen, it looks pretty intensive in all aspects.

I'm so stoked. I'm building my new rig here in a couple weeks, just in time to get it broken in and overclocked for WAR

I am very excited, it would have been nice if it had come out this summer so that I would not be in the middle of 18 hours of junior / senior level computer science classes...

This is probably going to be my next MMORPG, but I will hold off for favorable reviews... I do not want another vanguard let down.

Yeah Vanguard kind of upset me. But this game is just looking solid, from the beta tests to the coverage of it.

I know for sure this will be my next MMORPG.

It could be great, but I'm prepared for massive disappointment (and I'm a HUGE fan of the warhammer universe, but I really like 40k better)

Only reason this game excites me is because once the first expansion pack comes out, they can divert half the team to what EA bought them to work on. UO2.

WAR is the first game I have ever seen that sucked so much shit in beta that they reverted it to alpha. It's nice that they knew it wasn't beta worthy, but it proves that the devs vision isn't in the right place. It might be marginally better than Conan, but that's not saying much. The game will fail.

I think it's partly just me wanting a new MMORPG. I literally just hate WoW now, yet I'm still tanking bosses every night.

The omitted classes and towns are also proof that EA's claws are deep into the game which also means it's doomed.

Guessing its gonna have the "its not warcraft" trend and see people jump to it at launch, get dissapointed then do nothing or go back to WoW.

I wouldn't buy a MMO at launch personally

WAR is made by the kings of pvp not by failcom, makers of Age of Cancellations.

If by fail you mean hitting 1 million + subscriptions, yeah ^^. Look how many bored Wow pvpers will jump ship. Myself included. Well, I'll still have a few accounts active to sell gold.

edit: They revamped the pvp system when they went back to alpha. Added were keeps / castles for sieging and control of territories. Basically they implemented their own rvr system from daoc, which is known for the best pvp system around

Let's not doom and gloom when they've only made improvements.

a funny thing about predictions.

anyone with half a brain knew shadowbane would fail. same with vanguard, guild wars, and conan.

conan kept their nda until release, which is why so many were suckered into wasting money.

with war, almost all the beta leakers / testers enjoy it.

I'm running the same processor / video card and no bumps whatsoever

edit: haven't tested massive siege battles yet... but if you look around, siege battles go rather smoothly. check your pm!

I thikn WAR may be great. But i wont play it until 4-6 months after release. Let them get the bugs out.

Im stoked about WAR. I get a very positive feeling from everything ive seen so far from it. Already have the CE sitting on my desk. I mainly got it because I know i'll be guaranteed a spot in Open beta. That way i'll be able to test it out before release. If its horrible, ill jes sell the CE on ebay for atleast what I paid for it(I believe they have sold all 60k copies in the US)...but if it seems like its going to be a good game, ill give it a whirl. Currently not playing anything else ATM anyways.

I bought 3 collector's editions because I'm sick to death of just about every facet of wow. I'm pretty sure the game will succeed (at least financially) just because it's not wow. War will have to be abysmal for me to even consider buying wotlk

I'm incredibly excited about this game! Having played RPG games for the most part of my life (since I was 8), I can safely say that this game will be super awesome. Probably not at the height of Final Fantasy VII, but close

I quit my other MMORPG three months ago, where I was a top 100 player of about 6 million users (It was called "RuneScape"), just so I could watch the WAR videos and prepare myself to play it...Only a month to go, and a couple of million people will start this (hopefully) great game!! Hope to meet some of you there, so I can smash your skulls as a Chaos Chosen, Master of Retaliation!

Funny Note: Consider this...Many WoW players are deeming WAR a "WoW copy", which it certainly isn't, and they'll continue to play WoW as the wanna-be Nihilum membersthat they are. When their friends on WoW then try WAR, and eventually quit WoW to play WAR, the wanna-bees will follow and say "This is a pretty good game"...And it's those people we must annihilate the most. /\/3385. =)
