Overall it seems alright though.

They need to do something fast a lot of people are leaving the game,there is just no enjoyment with so many imbalance issues,it might even be too late.

No doubt but because they don't want to nerf BW/Sorc outright they just buffed damage across the board, which is a bad idea imo.

The damage in T4 is already out of control, and nerfing healing makes it only harder for healers who were already quitting in T4 in my experience because they suck. (heals not the players)

MJ did post that they will be improving some heals, but I dunno, we'll see how it is on PTS.

I was having trouble healing players basically I could not keep up,they were dropping like flies,the range damage I was getting at me from AOE etc was a joke too,dead in like 1 second when I was target, basically not playable like that,its respawn then die within a few seconds repeat with respawn die etc ...no fun in that ,I even saw 2 players leave can't blame them to be honest.

Sunday night is when CE version free time finishes on EU servers,I can see a few more players leaving and not bothering renewing their sub.

So far the PTS testing results from healers is looking pretty bad.

About 32-35% decrease in HOT effectiveness...

No idea, I'm not actually subscribed, I've only been viewing a few threads about the PTS so far.

It's like DAoC all over again with all these friggin' changes. Pretty frustrating when your class is altered in an extreme way, which was Mythic's M.O. in it's last MMO.

To be perfectly honest, though, there was a huge overabundance of healing in the game. There are certain classes that, even with just one healer, are virtually impossible to kill.

My BO, for instance, can be assist trained by an entire group for quite a while with only a single Zealot as a healer. My Sorc, too, can withstand quite a bit of punishment.

Overall, I think that this change will actually improve balance. Right now, if one side enters a fight with 2 healers in 12 and the other side enters the fight with 4 healers in 12, there is a HUGE advantage to the side fighting with four healers. Increasing damamge and decreasing healing will lessen the difference slightly. The more well balanced group will obviously still be better, but the difference won't be so astounding. The way it is currently, four healers in a scenario pretty much makes your group indestructible.

too much petty bickering that has no real basis in fact...this is what I meant when i said the devs need to learn to ignore players. Those who complain will always complain.

And that's not directed at you drebo, i just know that there are ways around the impossible to kill tank...namely a bit of teamwork and focusing the dps/healers, you know.

Well at lower levels the healers.. Especially DoKs and WPs were unstoppable.. they were like trying to fight a raid boss if they were any good at all.
Maybe they should have reduced the healers in early game and improved them in higher ranks.. right now as it stands dont even bother to solo engage a DOK or WP.. you will lose unless you have friends. or they are incompetent.

CV: yeah dude, it's the same in T3 right now. I wouldn't say they're overpowered, I like warhammer pvp cause no class is overpowered, they all have very evident weaknesses (and strengths), but I have a screenshot of a rank 25 WP, same as my Shaman, getting 79k damage in a scenario, 4k higher than a rank 27 sorc!! I was amazed, even said "good job dude..." out loud...lol. He also had 15k heals. In that scenario i did 22k damage and 35k heals.

I don't even know how 79K for a level 25 WP is even possible in a scenario!!! Seriously, a level 25 WP would be bumped to 28. Assuming they have literally the best gear for a level 25 WP, we are still talking an average of 55 DPS constantly chaining damage attacks to the most targets. Assuming 55 DPS the entire 15 minutes of a scenario, which isn't feasible because of travel time, but I'm going with the highest possible here..

55 damage * 60 seconds * 15 minutes = 49500 damage.

It just isn't possible without some cheating going on.

Also, I'm being quite generous with that 55 DPS, because WP's really aren't a DPS class. Haven't played in a bit, but I remember by Witch elf having roughly a 50ish DPS at level 25. Of course I didn't have any AoEs really either, and the WP doesn't either really.

I'm not saying that the score you saw didn't show up on your screen, but I'm smelling a big pile of hacking bullshyte from that player.

I don't know where you get the 55dps from??? Any dps rating i see in game is related to autoattack dps and doesn't include any abilities...

I've done over 75k damage in scenarios at level 17 with my witch elf alt. I can see a good lvl25 wp able to put out those numbers especially if someone else is healing them and they have gear.

The game itself is in dire need of the career balancing patch.

That's upsetting, I was really thinking of picking it up and playing a DoK, but it was my experience in the beta that at higher levels the heals we're worthless.

Couldn't be more wrong if you tried, heals are very important at higher levels. It looks like they are decreasing the time it takes to cast the high end heals and decreasing HOT's efficiency..IB's grudge mechanic is still being looked at, it will be harder to get grudge and it will leave you faster..

Uh, I think in the public testing they've realized that nerfing high level heals wasnt the way to go. But stuff is still under review.

For our healers, we are going to keep the decrease in cast time for the ?big heals? but we are reverting the changes to the HOTs back to their current LIVE status. Given the changes and general increases to most careers? DOTs, keeping healers? HOTs where they are currently is the more prudent path. As we continue testing with 1.0.6, this may change but for now we want to spend some more time running the numbers before we make any additional changes to our healers.

Character update: Pinchins is now 27/24 I'm enjoying the game unless I try to do RvR keep attacks. So dull...

Amazon has 2 month time cards for this right now at $13, limit 3. Also the basic game is only $11 there.

I'll fire it up again I think but I'm amazed at how quickly WAR has lost momentum since launch. These updates are simply taking too long to implement and every week they delay they lose more and more people. I'm actually looking forward to the client/server fixes as much as the class balance fixes.

Well I look at it like this. At least most all of the WoW kiddies have hopefully lost interest and gone back to playing in their sandbox.

Unfortunately I'm bracing for the WoW kiddie invasion nextweek when Runes of Magic open beta starts,they are everywhere .

Getting back on topic I think too many people have left WAR already due to gaming issues of one sort,I don't know anybody that joined sametime as me that's still playing .
