Warm: 10 Fuji DVD-R w/ jewel cases $19.99 Frys B&M

I was at frys last week and picked a box of 5 Fuji DVD-R discs for 20 bucks, today I went back to frys only to see a couple friends walking around with a 10 pack of these same discs for 20 bucks. These are Made In Japan so they're good quality discs, It doesn't say what the recording speed is. I got these at the Frys In City of Industry so YMMV.

The 10-pack with jewel case "Made in Japan" Fuji DVD-R are Taiyo-Yudens (media ID = "TYG01") and are 4x discs. I am trying to find out the specs on the 50-spindle "Made in Taiwan" Fuji DVD-R, but haven't had any luck.

i bought a 50 spindle fuji's from fry's in my giddiness to have media for my new dvd burner.

well hmmm. they had no speed, so i assumed they were 2x. ouch.
reality: 1x media, ritek, made in taiwan
so far no misburns, they are fine for me. they read in all the players available to me.....

Here's the complete media ID off of the Fuji DVD-R 50 pack that I got at Best Buy on sale this week ($69.99).

These are good quality Ritek blanks so I don't have any complaints. They burn perfectly fine at 2X even though DVDInfo only rates them at 1X (DVD Decrypter shows them as being rated 2X).

I'm still hoping that Fuji will let Taiyo Yuden start supplying the 50 pack spindles in the future, or at least include the Ritek G04 blanks which get really good reviews. 50 4X TY blanks at $69.99 would be a smoking deal though

bebrewer1 did u use the 4x2 firmware hack to burn it? or how else do u get it to burn above the rated speed

Yes, I'm using the 1.33 2x4ALL patch from forum.rcp1.org on my Pioneer DVR-105.

This is back up to $100 for the 50 pack, though they've got two 25-pack spindles taped together for $90. This is the Manhattan Beach, CA one.
