Local deal for those of us in Southern California, there is a new Best Buy grand opening today and tomorrow in Westwood (right next to UCLA), and there are plenty of 10% off coupons floating around in papers and stuff that can go towards just about anything (movies, CDs, software, and just about any kind of appliance / electronics) . . . Anywho, just thought I'd give everyone a heads up, it's pretty warm . . .

there was a coupon in every issue of the bruin on thursday...hehe lot of them laying around on campus still

the best buys are pretty close to each other, i would say maybe like 10 minute drives apart or less...who's complaining though?

OH MY GOD.. the employees - at least the ones @ westwood are now working on commission.

Now not only are there ignorant fools in the store, there are a LOT of ignorant fools and now they get in your way!! It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't try to outright LIE to get you to buy more. My friend who is a schoolteacher and subsequently not able to spend a lot on a phone, was looking at one when the guy insisted she purchase the $60 replacement plan. His reason?

"Yeah well the batteries tend to go bad after about a year, you'll have to start charging it every day and then it will stop working.. the batteries are $80 and we'll give you a new one free under this plan"

Ok, mistake #1 - it's a Li-ION battery which doesnt have the "memory" effect that he is trying to describe. Mistake #2 - NO battery that Sprint sells costs $80. They're all $59.99 regardless of model.

I know that next time I go there I'll just pretend I'm deaf. Way too much stupidity under one roof for me.
