Text The B&M are taking another 30% off select winter items
I really like these gloves because they're warm but not thick. These normally go for around $40

** The Exhale Heating System? allows you to breathe directly into the gloves to warm your fingertips without taking the gloves off. Durable ripstop nylon is water-resistant. Mid-weight fleece liner provides warmth and comfort.

Sounds OK, but isn't the whole point of gloves to keep your hands warm so that you shoudn't have to breathe on them?

Get outdoors much? Those that ski, hike or do other things, know that your feet and hands (and whole body) can go from sweating to freezing very quickly, thus you want your sweat to be able to "breathe" and dry up.

But then why breath into gloves, adding moisture that can make things worse? I suppose they work or they wouldn't sell them but I've never seen them before.

Check the link. You actually breathe into these goves via an "exhale port" on the outside. Warm breath is circulated to the fingertips for extra warmth.

I went to Eddie Bauer (in Chicago on Michigan and Ohio) over lunch and picked up a pair. They were marked and rang up as $14.99, so even less than the OP. Solid gloves for just wearing around and keeping your hands warm. They have magnets to keep the flap closed over the "exhale port," so be careful with those laptops, iPods, and whatever else.

Good deal. Thanks. I was going to stop by The Gap or Orvis to get gloves anyway. It seems like Eddie Bauer is clearing out all their winter stuff. They were pimping spring clothes to me when I walked in.

Saw these for $7 or $8 a pair at Ollies (discount b&m store in PA & ???), just before the holidays. Would have bought a pair if large was not a bit too tight.

With any modern warm gear, one of the main goals is to wick away sweat from your body. UnderArmor makes both warm and cold weather gear to do that, the warm gear breaths both ways, while the cold gear wicks away sweat but doesn't let body heat escape. Sweat is what really makes someone cold. Its a big deal to cold weather hikers, wool socks and poly liners.

Too bad the price is up to $25.
