Warm: 30 pk Maxell (TY) CD-R $9.99 ($6.99 AR) @ Rite-Aid

(after lurking for many moons, this is my first post...please be gentle with me)

For all those who can't make it to CompUSA for the Fuji deal, you might want to check out the following:

Rite-Aid is having a sale on 30-pks of Maxell 80-min music CD-Rs for $9.99. Many of the packages also contain a Maxell $3.00 mail in rebate sticker (expires 3/31/04, limit three per person), bringing the total cost down to $6.99. The spindles/discs are both marked 'Made in Japan', and according to CD-R Identifier, they are indeed TYs!

Rite-Aid is also selling 50-pks of Maxell's data CD-Rs for the same price, however these don't have rebate stickers, and they are made in Taiwan.

Not a huge fan of Maxwell CDR's, but I didn't know they carried the TY's. Nice find and welcome to AT!

I hear the 50 pks CD-R are made by Ritek.

If you don't have a Rite-Aid close, Staples has both on sale this week for $9.99 each I don't know if they have $3 rebate on the music.

Just an update on CD-R deals:

This thread has BestBuy circular for coming week.
BB will have TDK-50pk. for 2.99 AR
Need to check BB to know where these CDRs were manufactured - no info in circular.

I notice the Maxell music cd's (gold) don't have a speed rating. What speed will they burn data at?


BTW, Sams has 50 of them for $12.
