warm - 4U ATX Rackmount Case - $130

I recently purchased one of these ATX Rackmount cases from ServerCases.com. They run $130, which is a bit steep for a desktop case, but this case has got to be the best engineered box I've ever seen! Other 4U rackmountable equipment will run about $200+. I received it in about 3 days, with normal shipping. If you are in the market for server cases, this is a good deal for you.

My bank won't let me register my work address. It's funny how I can do it with everyone else like Staples or whatever, and I get this BS from these guys.

The handles are not plastic, they are solid steel, on hinges.

Would this be any good for a non-server system? It looks like a quality case, but I wonder if there would be compatiblity issues with &quot;normal&quot; components.

Rackmount cases are usually just hopped up desktop cases. They are 19&quot; in width for rackmounting and might have a locking door to cover drive bays.

Rackmount stuff is usually more expensive than the quality that goes into making the case. I shy away from them. Instead I just modify desktop cases to mount on my rack.

I don't see it mentioned in the description, but does this thing come with rails? If so, are they sliding rails, or fixed rails? I'd love to get rackmount cases for my systems, but I won't do it if it'll be almost impossible to work on my boxes after racking them. This does seem to be a great price, if there are rails included.

What's so hard about unscrewing them and pulling them out of the rack? If your gonna work on your box, your gonna hafta unscrew the case anyway, right?

These are pretty sweet for all you musicians out there who are recording or sequencing with a PC. It's cool to be able to have your PC near your other gear for short cable runs especially light pipe and coax cables.
