Amazon is putting apple iPods into goldboxes. I just got one of the 10 gig variety with a $61 rebate for a final price of $339.

Not bad, but I'll wait for Dell's combinantion of coupons, so I can get this 10GB player for $300 or less.

That's a pretty good deal. A lot of my pro-apple friends were pissed that Dell is selling iPods, but when I showed them the deals that can be had through Dell's discounts they weren't so mad.

I just hope Michael Dell doesn't start telling people he invented the iPod.

I think Apple is just being smart by letting them sell the IPOD's
Dell reaches a bigger population than Apple by itself.

Because Michael Dell has said a few things to anger fans of the Mac.

1) He said that Dell was the first computer maker to ship wireless laptops, when Apple had been selling them for years.
2) He said that if he was the CEO of Apple he would dissolve the company and give all the money to stockholders.

#1 I think he said Dell was the first PC maker to ship wireless on laptops.

And #2's just funny...he's made it clear in the past that he doesn't take Apple very seriously.

All the same, I'll be keeping my eye out for an iPod deal. I'm not getting my hopes up until March or so, because we're in the throes of the Christmas buying season where retailers know they can give 2% off and moms across the country will fight tooth and nail to get in on it.

On the Dell/Apple issue,
Steve Jobs created his company to change the world. Michael Dell created his company to make money. It's like comparing apples to well....rotten apples.

However, I have no problem taking advantage of Dell's coupon's to save some money on an ipod. Nor would I have an objection to buying a Dell computer if the price was right.

This looks like a decent mp3 player but I haven't found many reviews on this but the reviews that I did find were mainly positive.

Oh please, I could say the same things about Windows fanatics. I use both, I like my Mac better than my PC. Please don't assume the extreme case is the norm.

Stackable means you can use them in conjunction with other discounts / %off.

Stackable coupons are ones that can be used in conjunction with other coupons. BEst way to determine which they are is to count how many characters it has. A Gift certificate (stackable) has 14 digits where as a promo certificate has (not stackable) has 16 digits.
