I tried out the Creative Nomad. It has a VERY impressive EAX Sound Processor onboard, but unfortunately, the unit was a little too big for my tastes.

The Archos is a great deal, just don't squeeze the blue bumpers on each side or you'll cause the power to go out briefly, causing the unit to reset. One I owned 6 months had that problem, so I returned it. The one I bought the other day also does it, even though it is a newer model (came with a higher firmware version....5.05).

Looks like Archos just doesn't know how to fix that problem...which is a poor design flaw.

Usually it's not too tough to PM at CC especially if you get a nice sales guy. I just had to show him a BB receipt (though he only asked for a price tag from BB).

Atrac : that problem has to do with the spring in the battery casing. If you take off the sides, and tug at the spring a little bit, you'll find that you can bump the bumpers without it crashing. there are two versions now: the original 6gb jukebox and the larger, newer, I think 20gb jukebox that can also record on the fly. It appears you got the more expensive version.

I heard that the $169 price was a mistake and that BB actualy pays $190 on these and that they lost money on this mistake.
