Got a 9600XT for $149.99 plus tax. They could not find any box that has HL2 sticker on it ( as shown in their printed ad), so they give me an XT for the same price. Rebate not apply thuogh.

HOT!!! Isn't the XT better than the Pro (it has the auto-overclock?) or is the XT just a faster version of 9600np with fewer pipelines than a Pro. Dammit I wish I paid more attention to those AT articles...

i've been looking to get an 9600 pro for awhile now. saw this thread and i had to hit up compusa after work. picked it up for $159 after tax. not bad at all considering i was about to just order it from newegg. i hope the $20 rebate goes through.

Looks to me like that is only for the 9600 non-pro. Anyone checked to see if they'll honor it for the 9600 pro?

this deal may be hotter, since they didnt have the HL2 coupon, but it did show on their circular, the manager let me select any game out of the store for free, and the guy behind me got to do so as well, to bad I think I got a bad card (doesnt boot up), hopefully still in stock tommorow

FOR PEOPLE IN WOODLAND HILLS: I took my 2nd DOA card back to the burbank location today, bought it at woodland hills, turns out there is one batch of bad cards floating around. I called ATI and he said sometimes a bad batch will go around, After returning it at compusa where they tried to hassle me into a GC i dont need, I got my money back , and the tech guy there said a bad batch was sent and that was probably it: so dont buy your card at the woodland hills location, and burbank is OOS

I HATE CompUSA. I ordered the ATI 9600 Pro online for $129 AR. I specified instore pickup and was told it was available. Drive 25 miles to the store and was told they didn't have it in stock. I will never shop there again. Guess I should have known better.

anyone getting the write delay error with their 9600pro which i cant login to windows. i switch back to my geforce 3 and it work fine again. can this be the card or the driver(catalyst 3.9)
