Haha...that mention of Amazon's gold box made me check mine right now and lo and behold...

Too bad I already have one of these printers from OfficeMax...

i have the brother 1440 in my goldbox today, but no free shipping on this item. oh well, bit the bullet and purchased it for about $206 shipped from amazon.

A great printer...no problems..had it for over a year. I am on my 3d toner cartridge...I get the big ones $65 .

does anyone know whether this memory will work with the brother 1440? Kingston valueram

it's a 32mb 72-pin simm, so i think it should work, but i'm not certain about whether the printer accepts double-sided simm's. any thoughts?

one more question, does anyone know whether this printer can be simultaneously connected to two computers, using both the parallel and the usb connectors? thanks for your help!
