the one at staples b&m that i saw is an i/o magic cdrw magicwriter 4x4x32 that's on clearance for 89.90

and i'm sure you can add on to that whatever rebates and coupons that's out there. personally, i dont know of any rebates or coupons available.

I took a look at it today at Circuit City. The same unit was at Best Buy for $130 before the mail-in rebate.

I would guess that the sale price for tomorrow will be $129.99 so that adding $30 rebate can bring total down to $99.99

btw, has any one had any problem with CC's rebate?

Based on I/O Magic's website, the drive comes with Nero. From Nero's website (www.ahead.de), the I/O Magic 8x4x32 model is not on the list of supported recorders. Can anybody confirm what comes with the drive, and possibly the version of Nero? Thanks.

This drive does come with nero. The drive is actually a BTC drive, which is listed on Nero's site....I believe the drive is the BCE 832ie.....

hmmmm 1 meg buffer? Doesn't sound worth the trouble with an 8x cdwriter. I have a feeling that this one makes a bunch of coasters.
