Got the newegg notice.

Placed my order 6pm yesterday

My first order at 9Am yesterday was cancelled due to insufficient stock... however my order yesterday at 7Pm shows that it has been charged, what's goin on?

I placed my order on Friday at ~10PM PT and I got the notice that they are out of stock.

I wonder if they are really out of stock or if it was a price error.

I ordered within2 hours of the deal posting and I received the out of stock notice.

I really think this must be a pricing error. I bet they kept the instant savings (-$40) on there when it shouldn't have been.

The good news is the notice contained this little nugget of info...

Same here, it took awhile to receive the order confirmation email and my card was charged early this moring (around 1am pst) but yet still no cancellation email.

Either way, it looks as if the deal will be valid for anyone who got their order in before the lock.

You posted even before I did, but when did you place the actual order? Cause I just checked my order status and it's at step 5, shipped from their NJ warehouse. I put mine in at 3/18 1:42 AM est, or 3/17 10:42 PM pst.

The order I placed an hour ago is now showing at Step 1 in the My Orders area in addition to the voided order that they cancelled yesterday.

The memory is now showing out of stock again however.

Amazing if it really did sell out again in less than an hour.

Considering the type of customer service that newegg has, and considering the history newegg has of not making these kinds of mistakes, I believe that even if it is in error, they will likely honor it.
