This wasn't blazing hot, but I thought it was a decent deal for the Dazzle if you were in the market for a card reader and didn't want to wait for a clearance at Target or some other B&M for $10 or something.

Bump, for what appears to be a nice price. I think people were getting these for 40 with a 20 rebate from Dell or Amazon. Shipping is only 4.95, which is reasonable. I bought a an AR 10" subwoofer from these guys a couple of months ago, and as vendors go, they are good people to deal with.

I have a Dazzle 6 in 1 on each of my two computers. Since I no longer have a camera that uses CF, I use them to transfer files between my two computers. The Dazzle is wonderful for this use. You can also insert a SM and CF and transfer files between them. I used to use my HP1115 readers. But it is so slow. The Dazzle is very fast to upload and in Windows ME you don't even need drivers. It can't be any easier.

My current cameras use SM, but who knows about the future. And let's not forget MP3 players. Many use media. With the Dazzle you're ready for all of them. Knowing what I know now, I would gladly pay $40.00 for a Dazzle. So at 20 bucks it's a great deal.

I bought this a while ago, and it's fantastic at its job.
I couldn't get DSL for a long time where I live, so I used to d/l drivers and stuff at work and bring them home with the Dazzle
Good product, nice price.
-There used to be a $20 rebate on this one. I remember the company extended it, but have no idea if it might still be good - worth researching if you're in the market for a reader.

When they say it's compatible w/ IBM microdrive, do they mean that it takes PC cards? Or is the microdrive some kind of proprietary format?

Microdrive is compact flash, I believe Type2, but, not all Type2 C/F enabled devices are compatible with it. I think it has to do with power requirements of the drive.

The Microdrive is CompactFlash Type II and it works fine in my Dazzle 6in1

actually its 4 in 1 reader - > Compact flash, smart media, memory stick and mmc (microdrive is CF and SD cards are MMC)

I believe the $10 price halik is talking about was from dell.com after a $20 MIR, a deal that expired some time ago. Amazon.com erroneously had them marked at $15 while the $20 MIR was still in effect a few months ago, but ended up cancelling all the orders (including mine).

This is a great price, jump on it if you are considering one.

I ordered 2, one for myself and the other for a co-worker (to save on shipping). I got an e-mail stating that there was a limit of one per person. I don't remember seeing this on the order page. Anyone care to comment. I even called to complain, but they would not budge. Said that the price was a Macworld special and they had limited quantities with restrictions. Who knows???
