True Invoice Price : $18767

4-dr 3.0 V6 LX

True Invoice Price : $20339

4-dr 2.3 EX

Carsdirect's invoice includes Destination Charge, so there is no diff.

I never thought I'd like a minivan until I started driving our Odyssey. Its one of the sharpest looking MVs as well, i think. That cargo cover is a POC. Good luck.

There are a number of great resources for cheaper Honda accessories, I seem to remember someplace called hondaparts4you.com, as the cheapest discussed at odyclub. Nothing like saving money from the dealer, like $1295 for a trailer hitch.

About the Accord, the official product announcement is slated for June 19th I believe, so wait to see the true resulting product.

Too bad CarsDirect isn't available in Texas (Well, I tried Houston, Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and none of them worked). It's a good deal for an Accord, but I'll have to stick to being a vdubber. Keep on dubbin!

When I had my '98 Accord V6-EX (sigh.....what a sweet, fun car) I ordered a bunch of stuff from Manchester Honda.

http://www.manchesterhonda.com/

They were more than 50% off of the prices that the dealers wanted. I had one of my motorcycle batteries tip over and pretty much demolished the whole front passengers carpet. I ordered the carpet replacement from this place and they saved me a bunch of $$ over the local honda places. Wasn't too bad install, either. Car looked funny with the middle console and all of the seats out, though.

Ody's rock. I knew mine rocked just from owning one, then I rode in a slightly used Chevy Venture, man, no wonder dealers can't keep stock on the Ody, looking at some of the competition

Opinion please on cheap, reasonable or not.

I just bought a brand new Green Honda Accord 4Dr V6 EX for $22500.00 out the door on June 22, 2002. Basically, the car was (rounded) $20000.00 + $500 destination + $2000 tax. This price is even lowered than the dealer invoice of $22,765. I am in the Bay Area. No hassle or negotiation required. All i did was look in the newspaper for deals (Honda Accord V6 EX $21500), call other dealer if they give me at a lower price ($19,5 - $21K), i would come down. Two dealership offers $20K, reasonable, and down i went to test drive, pick my car with less than 10 miles, fill the damn paper works and out the door i went. Less than 3 hours, i was gone.

The only missing "needed" accessories not included was mud guards.

what are the differences betweenthe LX and SE model?

siao

The main ones that I can think of are moonroof and aluminum allow wheels.

I recently purchased a brand new 2002 Honda Accord SE for $17,244 which is $2,000 UNDER factory-to-dealer invoice. There are actually 4 differences between the LX and SE, the SE has:

1) Alloy wheels.
2) Power moonroof.
3) Power drivers side seat.
4) Keyless entry.

If you want to know how I saved $2,000 UNDER invoice, read this thread scroll down to the post dated 06/08/2002 9:27 PM.
