I've noticed that Honda has been offering a dealer's incentive for the 2002 Accord for at least a few months now. But recently, it seems to have gotten even better. Carsdirect has lower price than when I checked last month. Check this out:
4-dr 2.3 SE
Carsdirect price: $17,950
Invoice: $19,226
4-dr 3.0 V6 LX
Carsdirect price: $19,471
Invoice: $20,799
4-dr 2.3 EX
Carsdirect price: $18,575
Invoice: $19,810
I think this is about $400 lower than the price last month.
Anyway, I've also heard that next year (2003)'s Accord will have a different body style. Maybe that's why they're offering the dealer's incentive this year.
Still, the up side for getting this year's model is that you know it's been around for quite a while now so it's probably pretty thoroughly debugged by now. The down side is the resale value might be affected a bit, although from what I've read, this might be minimal, if at all.
