I ordered a Phenom II X6 1090T lst week, saw this offer today, and convinced a CS agent that, as a loyal and repeat customer (this took some doing, BTW, but I persisted) I should be 'grandfathered' into the offer. Glad I tried; free games are good!

Are the free games worth anything on the open market? I bought Dues Ex from Amazon download and discovered that my 9600GT won't play it... So if I get one of the 6850's that comes with the coupon, is the game salable since I won't need 2 copies?

Well, got my "copy" today; turned out to be a coupon with a code you submit to AMD, who then sends you over to Steam to create an account, downloads and install it, and then you get to download the game. Fine, except Steam installs and then fails on the auto update, apparently unable to delete its own executable in the process. So, actually, I don't have my free copy. I have a email into Steam support to see what they suggest, but I can't even uninstall it completely. Not sure what's happening here, but it sucks pretty hard.
