Marlboro is running a 'Cowboy Christmas' promo where you get 2 packs free when you buy 3. Only available on their promo boxes. I basically got a carton for $22 and some change as opposed to $30+

Should be good until, I would imagine, Christmas.

Glad I quit smoking. Kinda funny now that I live in North Carolina. You can buy cartons of Marlboros at a Stop and Rob for 22 bucks. This is tobacco country, or at least it was until everyone was forced to smoke and get cancer.

Does anybody else find it ironic that this thread is directly under the one titled "Cancer... wanna help?"

Just remember while your smoking, you're paying the rest of our tax money. Just don't smoke near me or I'll make a scene. I do that everywhere.

Somebody want to explain to me why a cigarette thread brings out the idiocy in this forum? If you choose not to smoke, that's fine, just shut up and leave the smokers alone.

Now as for the deal, what sort of stores are carrying the "Cowboy Christmas" promo? I haven't seen anything of the sort except on menthols.

This is a good deal, unless your local 7-11 charges $3.25 per pack, or $13.85 for the "special 5 packs" - didn't think they were allowed to do that...

The buy 3 get 2 free marlboros go very fast and you never know when a store will get them in, sometimes stores get them 2 months after the promo ends. So if you find them, BUY ALL OF THEM, because when you return, they Will All Be GONE.

Im not dissing on smokers, but just realize what you're getting into:
http://www.hd.co.harris.tx.us/tobacco/smokelungs.htm

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer related death in the United states. You increase your risk of Lung cancer by 22 times if you are male and 12x if you are female.

Just think about that when you decide to have a kid and realize that by the time your kid reaches the age of 20 you will probably have already started chemotherapy and will have a slim chance of surviving. If you dont want to do it for yourself just consider how you would feel if your dad or mom was dying of lung cancer right now and ask yourself if you want to put your loved ones through that.

The stores are supposed to charge their regular pack selling price times 3 for this 5 pack. So even when marlboros are on buydown {like Now} you should be charged 3 times the REGULAR price. so A store that sells marls for 3.25 regular, the five pack should be 9.75 plus all those nasty taxes. Many stores do not realize that these packs should not be sold at buydown prices, so check everyones price, The deals are out there.

Too bad I never see any promotions for Dunhill or 555 cigs. The quality of tobacco are lot better than Marlboro, (note trying to start a flame war Marboro smokers). I have to pay up to $4 to $5 a pack to give myselft lung cancer.

Keep smokin, at least it brings good business to the hospitals in the states. A tumor here and a bloody lung there...thats one of the best reasons why I am into medicine...hehehe. As long as its not my pain, it fine with me.

It actually cost the hosiptals and state more to treat lung cancer.. with the rise of HMOs being used by companies, the state has to dish out money for the hospitals funding. Did we forget the law suits against the tobacoo companies by several states? That was the reasoning behind some of the legitation issue ---doctors still make good money, but they really have to earn now with rise of HMOs---plastic surgery, and laserix for corrective eye surgery now thats where the money--or become a lawyer and sue the tobacoo companies.

Hhaahaha you morons are talking like smoking causes every ailment known to man. That is funny jsut stfu and let others post there deals. I can use words to make smoking sound good or Alolf Hitler, Look like a hero. The same goes for the opposite effect. Like my chiropractor told me that his treaments can reduce the chance of heart attack, and strokes. Isn;t it funny how those truth commercial never show that heart piece of someone who lived the same lifestyle, just minus the smoking. They just made it look flat out gross, but how do we know that this smoker didnt eat at mcd's everyday and wieghed 300 lbs?

newbie car crashes are the leading reason for people to have reconstuctive surgery. Most money from cigarette taxes doesnt go tot the health care sector.

I didn't know that the whole Marlboro image appealed to the Anandtech geek. Although I guess one could say that us nerds are the rugged, individualistic types.

That's great! I don't really need this deal, but I think I'll start smoking for the hell of it. I just love finding deals on this forum.
