You're right, the Gainward cards are beautiful, not to mention their quality construction. I've always enjoyed looking at my red Gainward GF3, even though I have to open the case to do so.
BTW, I was originally planning on getting a Ti4600 card. However, I did not want the dual digital video out connectors of the Gainward which requires use of an (included) adaptor for an analog CRT. I have no plans to ditch my 21" Sony CRT and do not want a 1-2 inch adaptor sticking out of the back of my vid card. So I was going to get a lackluster PNY Ti4600 for over 300 bucks. Along comes this beautiful, overclockable, relatively inexpensive Gainward 4200 and it was love at first sight (after reading the gamepc review that is).
It should come tomorrow, it's kind of exciting. My son doesn't realize the benefit yet, but he's about to inherit my Gainward Golden Sample GeForce3, which should improve his gaming experience.
It's funny, but for $220 I'm getting a card that should vastly outperform a card I bought just 9 months ago for $330. Uh, yes, you might say I am serious about my gaming. When the NV30 comes out, I'll be looking at that I suppose.
