<< Please do not buy this drive. It is regarded in the storage community as a very unreliable drive. There is an unusually high number of rma's on these.
I have one myself and it recently died on me. The drive is dated March 2001. It didn't just crash, but it makes a grinding noise and data is not easily retrievable (the only way for me now is to send it to a data recovery center). >>
I will second this one!!!! I would avoid it... I had the meat grinder noise too. It sounded like my old Apple IIc did when it was formatting a disk. After using 8 different programs to try and recover my .pst file, scandisk moved the information on its 327th scan. They sent me a new drive, and I am using it... but I wouldn't use this drive to house your porn collection... its not that reliable!
