Earbuds are so cheap its a reasonable idea to buy more than one brand and see what you like. There are just too many variables to point at any and say there are the best (unless you like the Sennheisers which are the best), fit in the ear, efficiency, cords, boxes, not to mention personal musical preferences.
Headphone sound is basically different from speakers in a room, technically more accurate, but almost all music is mixed expecting room ambience and the time delayed sound from the right channel going to the left ear (as well as first to the right, and vice versa).
