Where did you find one for $207? I seem to check everyday for some odd reason and it is always the same the G or N series are $245 at the lowest price as I sort lowest first in the scratch and dent section.

The one that popped up for me was a regular refurb. They seem to load new "Doorbusters" in the morning around 8 AM PST. Some have been good others are what they normally have slightly cheaper with less RAM. Took me about a week of checking every morning to save $50 lol

I was at work when I snagged my 2nd one. Was showing a co-worker on my phone and lucked into it. I'm tempted to snag a 3rd should I run across one again.

BTW does the 4GB ram come in a 1x4GB or is it 2x2GB? Also is it 16GB max or 8GB I have seen both listed in specs for the N580.

I just chatted with a sales person at Lenovo and he mentioned they don't do doorbuster deals for the Lenovo Outlet on refurbs/scratch/dent models. Also told me the $207 deal someone posted in here was with an AMD Fusion as there is no way they could have sold it that cheap with an Intel B690.

I'm guessing you are referring to me, and you would be wrong as it was an Intel machine. I'm also guessing whomever you spoke with is also clueless as this is the 2nd system I've purchased @ or below the $200 mark. Furthermore, if you check the slickdeals thread on the matter, you will see there are plenty of other examples of such doorbuster sales.

It's 1x4gb in my current machine, and it's 8gb max as the one I have only has 1 ram slot.

^ that spec lists a Celeron which I think earlier in this thread it was listed as a Pentium Dual core. Big difference as the Celeron is a cheaper cpu, so that would explain how you got it so cheap

I finally ordered the N580, but it was more than when this thread started. $248 + tax was around $267. The same day I ordered mine I was checking as I was considering another purchase for a family member and saw a doorbuster for a Z580 i5 2.5gHz 750GB HDD, 8GB ram for $338. It was the only one while the rest of the Z580s were $383 but had less ram 6GB, smaller HDD at 500GB and more expensive. Needless to say the next day when I returned to purchase the Z580 it was gone and just the full price $383 models with less ram and smaller HDDs were there.

BTW, I just got a shipping confirmation today via email but no tracking number. I called lenovo last evening as there was an estimated shipment date of 6/2/13 and expected arrival was 6/4/13. They had no idea why it didn't ship at the time and no idea if I would even get a tracking number. This seems odd as I have purchased stuff from Dell outlet before and everytime I felt like I was dealing with a top notch company. on the other hand with Lenovo, with the 20 minute wait time trying to get a customer service agent, to them with vague answers or no answers to my questions do not bode well for the future support of my computer if this is what I am getting BEFORE I even get the laptop.
