With the 30% off all keyboards, mice and speakers at Officemax you can get the "Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical" keyboard & mouse package for $70 ($100 - $30).
I believe this only applies in store. Newegg sells them for $79 + $15 shipping or $94 delivered. Nice keyboard & optical mouse for that multimedia PC you might have setup for your home theater system. Mine works fine about 15' away from my big screen TV. Now I need a reasonable way to connect it to my home network.

Thanks Z80, I've been waiting for a good deal on this set. I have 3 other wireless keyboard models except for this one. With so many keyboards and mice running on the table, it's nice to have different colors so not to get confused.

Besides, this set is extra cool on how all you have to do is look at the keys and they will type. That's why they're called optical keyboards

PS.
Young grasshopper, USB and HUB are the answer.

I have this set....got it from Costco for $79.99. Great buy, but don't even think about playing any games with the optical mouse. Good thing I'm not much of a gamer

The problem is created because it is optical, or because its cordless?

I think it is because its cordless so the signal has a slight delay getting to the computer, but im wondering how much and really how noticable it is...

yeah it's because of the cordless, not the optical.

I have 4 optical mice and all of them work fine for gaming. (fps)

I doubt there's much delay but it might be noticeable in a fast fps game like UT, Quake, JK2, etc.

i disagree entirely

the better deal this week is the ms office keyboard and wireless intellimouse explorer for $80 @ compusa

stolen from a cd holder deal

this is solely based on preferance... i really like the black ms keyboard... the only drawback is that it isn't natural but the old school straight rectangle. however, the scrollbar and cut and paste buttons... man... who knew it'd take all this time for someone w/ half a brain to think that one up...

there's also a router for $30 after rebates, and 50 packs of tdk cdrs for $5 ar. otherwise, relating to this thread, the logitech cordless optical mouse is also on sale for $40.

I got this late last year from Best Buy for the same price. Good keyboard. I notice no delay with the mouse.

What do they mean at JustDeals by:

<< This item is Factory Recertified and comes with JustDeals.com's 30-day warranty in a non-retail box. >>

Refurbished?

Refurbished and JustDeals in the same sentance, say it aint so.

JustDeals only sells refurbs, that is why their price is so low. sorry i didn't say so above.

I would go with that if I had the money...
http://specs.emscomputing.com/cgi-bin/specs/specs.asp?pid="442822"&sid="3cc8a731017997442741d8b0e20c06d8"&price="$72.00"

72+shipping sounds nice for a non-rebate deal on that...

BTW I heard this toy has an appetite for batteries... especially the mouse
is that true? Could sb that has it confirm?

CStrikeADDICT,
The MS Office Keyboard is NOT wireless. Your comparing apples and oranges. I am a big fan of the MS Intellimouse Explorer mouse (corded version), I've worn 3 out so far fragging newbies in CStrike. The beauty of the Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical is that with a HT PC you can sit back in your lazyboy recliner and surf the net, watch a free downloaded DIVX encoded movie (pre-release) or listen to your vast collection of MP3 music. The keyboard is just the right size for holding in your lap and has a scoll wheel if your too lazy to reach over for the mouse. Looks pretty cool too! IMHO

THREAD CRAPPING IS AN ART FORM THAT I HAVE NOT YET MASTERED. MY POST WAS NOT A CRAP. I PURCHASE A GREAT MANY ITEMS FROM JUSTDEALS.COM, THANKS TO THIS FORUM.

Same key board/mouse for $59.95 fromJust Deals if you dont buy it with something else, shipping charge will blow the deal though

if you would have mentioned that the item was a refurb, that would have helped a great number of people out. instead, you neglected you duty as a hot deals contributor. some poor sucker who doesnt know anything about anything would have bought that without reading the fine print and when he receives a brown box with just a keyboard, mouse, and driver cd would be thinking that he got ripped off.

Hi Z80, thanks for sharing the deal.

Been wanting a cordless solution to my TVPC. Are you sure it works realiably at 15'? Is that achieved by extending 6' e cord that attaches to USB? Logitech says 5'. MaMaZone says Range=6 feet as well.
It'd be great deal for me if it works.

Anyone have any 20 off 100 Printable coupons? (Staples or Max) Or links to one? Thanks.

Hey DaddyCool,
I was worried about the 6' distance specification too. That's why I wanted an in store deal in case it didn't work and I had to return it. But I read some buyer reviews that said they had it working at 20'. Mine works fine at 15'. I put the USB/PS2 attached receiver on top of my big screen TV for a direct line of sight (although not required). I haven't had any dropped characters from the keyboard or missed mouse clicks yet so I assume it's working just fine. I'll fiddle with it a little more tonight and load up some games to see how it does and let you know.
